My Internship with Maria Orduz Pinto

So when I first moved to Calgary I wanted something to do. I could not work for a bit because I had to wait for my papers, so i googled "sewing jobs in Calgary" And Maria's add came up that she needed interns to help her put her collection together for Alberta fashion week 2009. I emailed her, and got to meet her and see what she was up to. I have to say this internship was super fun! Anyways, back to my internship. I learned so much. And it was a ton of fun to see Maria's line go from idea, to sketch, to pattern, to mock up garment to the final design. I got to help fit the models, be there for the dress rehearsal, and help her out the day of the show. Thanks Maria you are the best! We want to combine our skills and put together a ready to wear line for Alberta Fashion Week 2010. It will be our fall 2010 line.
